25 years for the Fraternité Saint-Alphonse

About 400 people took part in the various activities that marked the 25th anniversary of the Fraternité Saint-Alphonse.

Founded in 1994 by Redemptorist father André Morency and lay people France Lacoursière and Régis Pellerin, the Fraternity hosts people who need a new start in life after periods of dependence or distress.

"Today I feel like saying thank you to everyone. Not just to be there, but to have faith in this work. To believe that the Lord works in this building," said Father Morency during a mass held in the premises of the organization.

"Residents are people that life may seem to have left on the way, and who find an unconditional welcome here. They are learning to start again, "said Bishop Marc Pelchat, Auxiliary Bishop in Quebec City.
