Saint Anne

Historically speaking, we know very little about Saint Anne. The Bible says nothing about her, whereas other writings that circulated in the early Church speak about her at great length.

What are you searching for?

As the days and seasons of my life go by, many questions have emerged. In my mind, one seems to stand out as it aligns with all my present undertakings and my future endeavours: “What are you searching for?” Silently, almost overlooked, this simple question hides precious treasures! When I reflect upon this question, I am reminded of my talents and limitations, my shortcomings and illusions; it puts my everyday actions and dreams into perspective. It helps me to realize that not everything has the same value and the same importance. It invites me to search deep inside myself to discover a profound meaning and, from there, I can establish my priorities in life.

Pathway of God

A Story from the Old Testament

Imagine you are a Jew living in Jerusalem six centuries before Christ. You know the king, the anointed one chosen by God to lead you and your people, who lives just up the hill. The great Temple is nearby, where priests offer sacrifices to God on your behalf on a daily basis. You believe God lives in this Temple, among his chosen people of whom you are one. You are confident in the knowledge that your city is the capital of a land given to your people by God as an everlasting inheritance. What a comfort it must be, so blessed by God!
